So Much To Do!

Ok so I leave on 6th October, which is in 12 days time. And it’s just occurring to me exactly how much I have to do before I go! I generally consider myself to be a fairly organised person. Although I do usually leave things a little to the last minute. [Hmmm... Really shouldn't do that!]

So before I jet off, here’s a quidck list of some of the things that keep creeping up on me.

Firstly, packing! I hate packing with a passion. It’s not just about knowing what to pack, it’s knowing in advance so everything can be bought/clean/found so it can be packed!
Then I have to find a way of putting a screne reading software onto a memory stick so I can use any computer at any time.
I also have to write 2 presentations, one for a primary school, and one for a secondary school. And transfer everything from my laptop onto an external hard drive. Not an easy task considering the amount of music I have on there.

So many little things to do and seriously not enough time! AAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!
Any suggestions as to how to get everything done without running crazily round in circles getting nothing useful done?

  1. LOL, wish I’d checked the grammar on that! Ooops!Still, wanted to just try and see if I could manage to leave a message without anything going pear shaped (you know how my computer has a mind of its own – bless, it thinks it’s people, lol).So this just leaves me to say how much I admire you and think you are fantastic! I pray that you walk closely with God throughout your journey and know His presence across his beautiful world.Keep His promises close to your heart,Much LoveAnna x.

  2. O Nic-Nac – how I feel for you! The beast of packing lurks hungry… ready to pounce in an infinitely forceful explosion of odd socks, travel sweet wrappers and mishapen paperbacks – how I feel for you! Yet, once mastered and safely zipped in canvas, the beast calms; purring in soft satisfaction… waiting? For as the beast broods he manifests into a much larger, much more formidable creature … beware the beast of unpacking!

  4. Michaels Top Ten Tips for Packing!

    1. Before starting a particularly irritating task it is extremely important to have something good to look forward to. I would recommend a big gooey chocolate cake, a warm bubble bath, or a snog. Probably best not to combine all three though.
    2. The key to actually starting the packing is avoiding procrastination. Did you know that an Anagram of Nicola Jayne Coulthard is; ‘Enjoy hard calculation’ and one of Nicola Coulthard is; ‘accidentally hoar’. Isn’t that interesting? I’d say so, wonder if the dishes are clean now?
    3. Start by finding a big big big bag which is unlikely to split open when being transferred from a plane onto the conveyerbelt for collection. Alternatively, purchase very nice underwear which won’t embarrass you when collecting from the conveyerbelt.
    4. Remember to make allowances for the number of shoes you intend to bring. You wouldn’t want to be caught without your flip flops or sandals; your trainers or plimsols; your platforms, your high heels or stilettos; your sneekers, your slippers or moccasins; your day shoe or evening shoe; your wellies or walking boots; your lucky shoe or your favourite one half chewed by the zealous sausage dog; your black shoes, your brown ones or the ones which go so well with your fancy Armani hand bag; your flippers; your hooves; your stilts; your anti-gravity boots; your clogs or the ones you like to kick your boyfriend with.
    5. Choose a favourite teddy to bring. Don’t worry what the teddies who are not selected to come might think about not being picked. I’m sure you’ll be able to explain it to them when you get back.
    6. Make sure you have your passport. Supergluing it to yourself is an option and can also serve as an excellent method for removing unwanted hair.
    7. Pack something that will help relieve any anxiety you might face while flying. Traditional methods include drugging, alcohol or things which put you to sleep. Things like Mary Poppins, N’Sync or Gone With the Wind.
    8. A few further suggestions on what to pack considering that you are going to be working with children while you are out there; ear plugs, sedatives, an electrified cattle prod, hand cuffs and gags, gameboys and probably most importantly of all – a well stocked first aid box,
    9. When you are finished packing, ask someone what you have forgotten. That way, if you have forgotten anything, it is their fault for not reminding you to take it.
    10. And finally, don’t forget to take the bag you have packed everything in.
