Father in Heaven, I pray for all those in Victoria who have been effected by the recent bushfires. Lord, i ask that you would send rain. Please give the fire fighters the strength and courage to keep going; i pray that they will soon be able to contain and extinguish all the fires that are still burning. Please help those who have lost homes and loved ones through their time of grieving, and help them to rebuild their lives. Surround them with loving people who can support them. Though this is a terrible time for Australia, thank you that you are using it to draw people closer to you. In Jesus’ name, amen.

My God I thank you so much that you are so close to Colin and his family at the moment. I thank you for your compassion and healing, for your everlasting hope and comfort. Lord I ask for continued strength and healing for Colin. I ask too for the opportunities for him to find you and to know your love for him. God of strength and compassion hear this prayer and let it be your will.

Father, I pray for Colin, that your healing hand would be upon him, that you would give him, his family and friends strength and that they can look to you during this time. I pray he will recover quickly through your help and that he will soon be able to return home.

I ask God to be with all the volunteers as they prepare for their campaign next week on HIV and TB. Lord give them the words to say and the confidence to go into people’s houses and talk to them. Keep them safe. Thank you Lord for their enhusiasm and willingness to serve.

Father God, we thank you for this inspiring corner of your world. Please be with the whole team in Joburg, keep them safe and give them peace. Please also be with everyone who loves them and who are missing them. Help us to know they are doing your work.

Okay, so a lot of you know me as the very cool and very masculine tough guy. Others of you know me as your hero. Well it may surprise you to learn that I have somewhat of a tender spot. It may even surprise you to learn that we cool, masculine, tough guy heroes are capable of … Love. Aaaaah! Isn’t that lovely I hear you say. Well it’s true. I’m in love. (Forgot to warn you fainters what to expect in this entry). Anyway, cut a long story short. I’m totally crazy about Nic, and I’m pretty sure she is about me to. I would really appreciate any prayers for us. Maybe that we would still be the same when she gets back. Thank you.
